A Palestinian protester is enveloped in teargas during clashes with the
Israeli army in a demonstration against Israeli settlements in Qadomem,
near the West Bank city of Nablus. According to local reports, the
Israeli government has approved a number of new developments in areas
annexed to East Jerusalem while settlers north of Ramallah have been
accused of destroying thousands of recently planted olive trees.
