Lebanon : The Lebanese Communist Party calls to move and go down to the street to confront and drop the Orthodox project meeting and all sectarian electoral projects.

The adaptation of the so-called "Orthodox election law" by the joint parliamentary committees is a new crime committed against the nation by the dominant political class, especially the sects leaders. This project, which reveals the size of the impasse to which the sectarian system and his defenders had get to, portends great dangers to civil peace and internal stability. It converts the parliament to a Gathering of boredom councils, and restores our country to the atmosphere of 1860 and dividing it to racist reserves live on hatred and fighting. The catastrophic risk of this project increases with what is happening in the region from sectarian and confessional wars and massacres have so far claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands.
And the conspiracy continue against civil peace through another plot on the social peace, where the steadily increasing number of poor, marginalized and unemployed and threatened in their strength and their livelihoods and their lives, At the same time of threatening the Ministry of Health to stop receiving patients and worsen the situation of social security, the electricity crisis continues and the conspiracy on public sector employees, professors, teachers, retirees and contractors… Through submission to the dictates of the International Monetary Fund and the restoration projects Conference "Paris 3".
So, we see the uprising of the trade union coordinating body and the open strike a natural response to the policy of procrastination pursued by the government and its president, to not refer the series of ranks and salaries to the parliament.
Also we see the demands of the coordinating body forth endorsement of the series without modification as has been agreed upon is a legitimate right as a result of the policy of impoverishment and starvation practiced by successive governments partnership or service to a handful of money and whales employers at the expense of the majority of the Lebanese.
Those mobile plots, and the atmosphere that prevailed in the country at the political and security, economic and social levels require from national forces, democracy and civil society organizations monitoring their ranks and unite their efforts to prevent slippage of the country back toward civil war and to create a breakthrough in the structure of this sectarian system towards the national democratic country.
So, we’re on our call to everyone to prepare and wider participation for a sit-in in front of the parliament in conjunction with the "introduction of Orthodox election" to the general assembly.
we also urge you to participate and engage in the central demonstration, which begins on Sunday, on the tenth of March 2013, at ten o’clock in the morning round of Barbir direction of the parliament for the overthrow of “ the draft Orthodox meeting” and all the similar sectarian projects, in order to ratification of a democratic electoral law on the basis of the proportionality and Lebanon one department and outside sectarian limitation with the right of the women’s quota and lowering the voting age to 18 years, as a basis in the process of democratic change.

الشيوعي يدعو للتحرك والنزول الى الشارع لمواجهة وإسقاط
مشروع اللقاء الأرثوذوكسي وكل المشاريع الطائفية الفتنوية يا أبناء شعبنا
إن إقدام اللجان النيابية المشتركة على إقرار ما سمي ب"قانون الانتخاب الأرثوذكسي" هو جريمة جديدة ترتكب بحق الوطن من قبل الطبقة السياسية المسيطرة، وفي طليعتها أمراء الطوائف. فهذا المشروع، الذي يكشف حجم المأزق الذي بلغه النظام الطائفي وأهله والمدافعين عنه، ينذر بمخاطر كبيرة على السلم الأهلي والاستقرار الداخلي. فهو يحوّل البرلمان الى تجمع لمجالس الملل، ويعيد وطننا الى أجواء العام 1860 ويقسّمه الى محميات عنصرية تعيش على الحقد والتنابذ والاقتتال. وتزداد مخاطر هذا المشروع الكارثي بتقاطعه مع ما يجري في المنطقة من صراعات على الهويات ومن مجازر طائفية ومذهبية أودت حتى الآن بحياة مئات الآلاف.
وتكتمل المؤامرة على السلم الأهلي من خلال مؤامرة أخرى على السلم الاجتماعي، حيث يزداد باضطراد عدد الفقراء والمهمشين والعاطلين عن العمل والمهددين في قوتهم ومعيشتهم وحياتهم، في وقت تهدد فيه وزارة الصحة بوقف استقبال المرضى ويسوء فيه وضع الضمان الاجتماعي وتستمر فيه أزمة الكهرباء ويتم فيه التآمر على موظفي القطاع العام من اساتذة ومعلمين ومتقاعدين ومتعاقدين واجراء.. من خلال الخضوع لاملاءات صندوق النقد الدولي واستعادة مشاريع مؤتمر "باريس 3".
لذا، نرى في إنتفاضة هيئة التنسيق النقابية وإضرابها المفتوح رداًً طبيعياًً على سياسة المماطلة والتسويف التي انتهجتها الحكومة ورئيسها بعدم إحالة سلسلة الرتب والرواتب الى المجلس النيابي. كما ويرى أن ما تطالب به هيئة التنسيق من إقرار للسلسلة دون تعديل كما جرى التوافق عليها هو حق مشروع نتيجة سياسة الإفقار والتجويع التي مارستها الحكومات المتعاقبة شراكة أو خدمة لحفنة من حيتان المال وأرباب العمل على حساب اكثرية اللبنانيين.
ان هذه المؤامرات المتنقلة، والأجواء التي تعيشها البلاد على الصعد الأمنية والسياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية تتطلب من القوى الوطنية والديمقراطية ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني رص صفوفها وتوحيد جهودها لمنع انزلاق البلد مجدداًً نحو الحرب الأهلية ولإحداث اختراق في بنية هذا النظام الطائفي باتجاه الدولة الوطنية الديمقراطية لذا، نتوجه بالدعوة الى الجميع للتحضير والمشاركة من أجل أوسع اعتصام أمام مجلس النواب بالتزامن مع طرح "مشروع الانتخاب الأرثوذوكسي" على الهيئة العامة.
كما ندعوكم الى المشاركة والانخراط في المظاهرة المركزية التي ستنطلق يوم الأحد في العاشر من أذار 2013، عند الساعة العاشرة والنصف صباحا من مستديرة البربير باتجاه المجلس النيابي من أجل إسقاط مشروع اللقاء الارثوذكسي وكافة المشاريع الطائفية والفتنوية المشابهة ، ومن أجل إقرار قانون إنتخابي ديمقراطي على قاعدة النسبية والدائرة الواحدة وخارج القيد الطائفي مع حق الكوتا النسائية وخفض سن الاقتراع الى 18 سنة ، كأساس في عملية التغيير الديمقراطي.
